Hey Rick, thanks for visiting my blog! I like your artwork. Knife in a Drawer made me laugh. I bet we probably did know each other back in the day in Old Town. Most likely if we saw pics of each other back then, we'd say - Oh, yeah... I remember. What band were you in? I tried my luck (once) with a band called Witch's Brew. We played one time at Like Young. I was not (and still am not) the greatest singer in the world (unless you count the shower & the car - lol!)

I was in a band called The Looking Glass (not THAT Looking Glass) and later on in the Ezra Quantine Blues Band and we played Like Young and some other spots in the Wells St. area. I still play guitar every Tuesday at a place called the Gallery Cabaret. ( http://www.galleycabaret.com )
ReplyDeleteI used to go to Mother Blues as well and saw some great acts there, including Howlin' Wolf and Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin before Janis was the star fo the show.
